With the introduction of the Bullet 650 at EICMA 2025, Royal Enfield commemorates 125 years. Learn about its engine, design, specifications, global launch schedule, and what makes this modern classic so unique.
Bullet 650 Unveiled at EICMA 2025 Royal Enfield A Timeless Legend Reborn
Royal Enfield has recaptured the hearts of the motorcycle lovers across the world. The brand announced its 125 th anniversary with an exhilarating set of new models at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, which is also known as the proud owner of the Bullet 650.
A new model that was long overdue and an exciting tribute to a classic legend.
Some of the special motorcycles displayed at the event were the Classic 650, Himalayan Mana Black, Limited Edition Shotgun 650, Flying Flea Scrambler, and a beautiful 125 th Anniversary Special Edition.
To make the matter even more exciting, Royal Enfield also gave the hint on the next project, Himalayan 750, however, there are still very few details about it.
A Contemporary timeless piece that has an old fashioned heart
The Royal Enfield Bullet 650 is a perfect blend of old fashioned craftsmanship and new technology. It supports the spirit of the first Bullet, which was a design that has characterized the generations, but provides a sophisticated design and extra-finishing mechanics.
The new model is still powered by the iconic teardrop-shaped fuel tank with hand-painted pinstripes, winged Royal Enfield badge and the classic upright stance, which has over time become a brand name.
The LED headlamp with an antique-style casing and tiger-eye pilot lamps give it a retro but sleek look.
The Bullet 650 is made using a steel tubular spine frame which provides both stability and agility on diverse surfaces.
The Showa suspension system of the bike promises a relaxed and confident ride and the wire-spoke wheels with tube-type tires do not ruin its retro appeal.
Delivery of Performance that is worth the Tradition
The Bullet 650 also shares its time-tested parallel-twin-powered 648cc under theskin with the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650.
This engine has approximately 46 horsepower and 52 Nm of torque with a smooth torquey and vibratory-free ride.
The gear box is paired with a six-speed box with a slipper clutch making the engine smooth and easy to shift and cruise along even at high velocities.
Such an arrangement causes the Bullet 650 to not only be a worthy old-school throwback, but an efficient highway tourer that can be used not only on long rides, but also on a daily basis.
To handle the braking tasks, the motorcycle is fitted with 320mm front and 300mm rear disc brakes which provide good stopping power and confidence in the road.
Special Anniversary Edition - 125 Years of Legacy
The company also introduced the Classic 650 125 th Anniversary Edition to celebrate 125 years of Royal Enfield.
This edition has a unique dual-tone red and gold paint finish to change tone with viewing angle - a design the brand calls Hypershift Paint Application.
To make it even more beautiful, the tank is embellished with a gold-plated 125 Years emblem which is a great display of pride of the brand as it has been known throughout history since 1901.
Although the mechanicals are identical with the regular model, the detailing and paintwork make it look like a collector.
International Introduction Strategy and Access
Bullet 650 will also be available in two appealing colors such as Cannon Black and Battleship Blue around the world.
Royal Enfield states that the Cannon Black model will start its sales in Europe and North America in 2026.
The company has not yet officially announced a launch date in India, but the fans are looking forward to it.
Industry observers believe that the Bullet 650 will be part of the growing 650 vehicle line of Royal Enfield, which also includes the Interceptor, Continental GT and Super Meteor, later next year.
An everlasting role model to the future generation
Royal Enfield appears to have created the right blend of nostalgia and innovativeness with the Bullet 650.
It remains faithful to the design language that turned the Bullet into a legend, but adds in the current day performance, technology and comfort that will appeal to the modern day riders.
The detailing, as to the handcrafted pinstripes down to the heritage-inspired posture, makes sure that the motorcycle would not lose its vintage flair.
Meanwhile, it is a motorcycle of the new age due to the sophisticated engine, refined chassis, and enhanced ride.
The Bullet 650 is a kind of a sign of perseverance, development, and passion as Royal Enfield is 125 years old, which means that only a few motorcycle brands in the world can remain in the same production for that long.
Being a long-time Bullet fan or a novice rider who is going to find out about the brand, there is no doubt that the legend is not only coming back, but it is being reborn.
