Vivo X300 Pro - Full Performance & Specs Overview

With Vivo's X 300 Pro launch on 13 October, 2025 in China. Now it's time for arrival in India.

The Vivo X300 Pro is a high-end, camera-focused flagship smartphone aiming to stand out in a crowded market of premium camera phones.

Looks quite similar to its smaller sibling but brings major upgrades worth the additional cost, primarily in its advanced camera system featuring a cutting-edge main camera and a remarkable 200-megapixel telephoto sensor.

It even supports an optional external lens attachment for enhanced telephoto zoom, sold separately.

Other improvements include a new flagship chipset and the introduction of the Origin OS software interface for global users.

Design

The X300 Pro showcases a large Zeiss-branded camera module on its back, set against a frosted flat glass panel that resists fingerprints well.

The flat aluminum frame adds a premium feel to the device. Near the top edge, users find a customizable hardware button for shortcuts such as toggling ring modes or launching the camera.

The device has retained its ingress protection with IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering dust resistance, water submersion protection, and defense against heated water jets.

Display

The display remains similar to last year's model 6.78-inch LTPO OLED panel with a high resolution and smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, protected by armored glass.

With 452 pixels per inch density, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support, and a 10-bit color depth, the screen is equipped to impress, while adaptive refresh rate technology helps conserve energy by lowering refresh rates during static use.

The ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor is well positioned and offers quick unlocking.

Software

The software is based on the new Origin OS atop Android 16, a shift from Vivo's previous FunTouch OS.

Origin OS features refreshed visuals with updated icons and fonts, customizable animations, and control center toggles that borrow aesthetic cues from Apple’s iOS with transparent bubble-like designs.

The "Origin Island" around the selfie cutout displays contextual status information, an iOS-inspired trait. Motion prompts help reduce motion sickness by mirroring travel movement with dots on-screen.

AI-powered features augment the user experience, including text proofreading and rewriting, real-time caption translations, audio transcription, and AI-based photo editing tools.

Vivo promises substantial software support, with five major OS updates and seven years of security patches.

Performance

The MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset powers the phone, the same chipset as the one found in the recent Oppo FindX9 Pro

It delivers class-leading performance but experiences thermal throttling under prolonged stress, dropping to about half its peak CPU performance during intensive tasks.

Battery & Charging

Battery capacity varies by region, with the European model featuring a smaller 5,440 mAh battery compared to the 6,510 mAh versions sold elsewhere, due to EU regulations.

Charging is fast, with support for 90W wired charging and 55W USB PD charging; both methods recharge the battery from zero to full in under 30 minutes. Wireless charging is supported at 30W.

Camera

The upgraded camera system includes a 50 MP main sensor, a 200 MP 3.5x telephoto lens, and a 50 MP ultrawide shooter.

Photos show vivid colors, natural tones, and excellent detail, with strong day and night performance.

The telephoto lens performs well even at 7x zoom. A pro kit adds controls and 200 mm optical zoom.

The 50 MP selfie camera and 4K/8K video modes deliver sharp, stable results.

Pricing & Launch

The Vivo X300 Pro is anticipated to launch in India in the first week of December 2025, with prices expected to start at approximately ₹65,900 for the base 12GB + 256GB variant.

Some reports suggest that prices could range between ₹65,000 to ₹1,00,000, framing the X300 Pro firmly in the premium flagship segment.

What's going to happen with the X300 Ultra?

The Vivo X300 Pro is a powerhouse camera phone boasting an excellent display, a top-tier chipset, updated software, and rapid charging support.

Its main drawbacks are average battery life, especially for European users and lower low-light video quality compared to competition.

Still, it is highly recommended for anyone seeking a smartphone capable of capturing outstanding photos.
